JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Djan Faridz’s PPP won the legal battle at the Jakarta State Administrative Court (PTUN) as the court ruled the Ministry of Law & Human Rights to cancel an official recognition over Romahurmuziy’s PPP. Previously, Djan Faridz’s PPP lost the legal battle at the Central Jakarta District Court.
Commenting to the PTUN Jakarta’s ruling, PPP Chairman Romahurmuziy aka Romi said he will soon submit an appeal to the State Administrative High Court (PTTUN) to challenge the ruling.
Romi mentioned some irregularities in the PTUN Jakarta’s ruling. Romi, moreover, also accused that panel of judges at the PTUN Jakarta was under high pressure when reading its ruling.
So therefore, Romi said that his side will also file a report to the Judicial Commission against panel of judges of PTUN Jakarta.
Previously, Romahurmuziy’s PPP won the legal battle at the Central Jakarta District Court as the court rejected a petition filed by Djan Faridz’s PPP.
The United Development Party (PPP) was divided to the two warring factions of Romahurmuziy’s PPP and Djan Faridz’s PPP. Romi has been elected as new PPP Chairman through the party’s congress (muktamar) in Surabaya, East Java. Djan Faridz, meanwhile, was elected as new PPP Chairman replacing Suryadharma Ali in another party’s congress in Jakarta.
Romi’s PPP has earlier secured official recognition from the Ministry of Law & Human Rights. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
