JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – Beauty care giant L’Oreal plans to build new plant in Jababeka Industrial Estate, Indonesia with 100 million euro of investment.
Vismay Sharma, President director of L’Oreal Indonesia, said the plant, which is expected to commence production in November, will produce hair and skin care products.
Bisnis Indonesia newspaper quoted Vismay saying Indonesian beauty care market might reach Rp16.6 trillion and further up to Rp20.62 trillion by 2014.
L’Oreal Group reported sales revenue of 11.21 billion euro in the first half ended June 30, 2012, an increase of 10.5% from the same period last year. The company booked operating profit of 1.89 billion euro, representing 11.4% growth over the same period last year.
L’Oreal also controls The Body Shop, which reported sales revenue of 373.9 million euro in the period. (Indonesia Today)
