JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Investors focus buying shares of plantation firm PT London Sumatra Tbk this morning, then the stock gained 1.2% to Rp1675 per share this morning.
The stock had gained 67.5% from its bottom of Rp1,000 on August 20, 2013. Year to date, LSIP fell 13%. Salim Ivomas Pratama also rose 1.38% and BW Plantation increased 0.4%.
In Singapore, First Resources gained 0.5% and Wilmar International rose 0.64% while Golden Agri and Indofood Agro fell.
The association of palm plantation farmers (Gapki) urge the government to cut lending rate from current above 10% for supporting the downstream business for crude palm oil (CPO). The export of CPO now represents 77% of total CPO production in the country. The domestic consumption only reaches 23%.
