JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Lion Air plans to purchase 10 Boeing B737 aircraft in 2016, at value of US$750 million. It also plans to purchase 5 units of Airbus A330 at value of US$260 million.
Rudy Lumingkewas, president director of Lion Air, said the purchase of aircrafts will made through operating and financial lease scheme. While the purchase of Airbus A330 depends on the development of macroeconomic situation next year.
Lion Air has Monday (November 2) is delivered an Airbus A330 aircraft, its first order. Currently Lion Air operates Boeing 737-900ER, Boeing 737-300,400 and Boeing MD-90 aircraft.
