JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Indonesian legendary storyteller and puppeteer Suyadi, famously known as Pak Raden, has passed away on Friday (Oct. 30) night at the age of 82 after being treated at the Pelni Hospital in Petamburan, West Jakarta, due to lung infection.
Suyadi had struggled for years from acute osteoarthritis.
He is the man behind Si Unyil, a popular puppet show aired by state-owned television TVRI in the 1980s. It was him who created the characters of Unyil, Pak Raden, Pak Ogah, etc for the Si Unyil show. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
