JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended up 0.52% to 4256 Friday (November 29), thanks to late buying. The trade was very volatile while regional markets were mixed.

Among blue chip stocks, Bank Rakyat Indonesia gained 2.76%, Bank Mandiri rose 2%, BW Plantation jumped 4.9%, Jababeka hiked 2.5%, and Telkom up 1.16%.

Other gainers were Adhi Karya (+1.27%), Media Nusantara Citra (+1.9%), Waskita Karya (+2.25%), Wijaya Karya (+2.48%), and Bumi Resources Minerals (+2.38%).

Among losers were Bumi Resources (-4.9%), Charoen Pokphand (-3.55%), Pakuwon Jati (-1.96%), and Visi Media (-3.39%).

Nymex’s crude oil increased 0.35% to US$92.95 per barrel and gold rose 0.73% to US$1,246.90 per ounce. The rupiah weakened further to Rp11,977 against the US Dollar. The central bank, Bank Indonesia, might intervene the rupiah after reaching Rp12,000 against the US Dollar on Thursday (November 28), for protecting the stability of local currency.
