JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Late buying helped composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) to close in green on Monday (July 15) after being pressured during the day trading.

All regional markets also ended higher after another robust performance on Wall Street. Data also suggested China’s second quarter economic slowdown was not as bad as feared.

In Jakarta bourse, Bumi Resources surged 8%, Global Mediacom jumped 6.25%, Wijaya Karya gained 3.66%, Waskita Karya rose 2.78%, Astra International increased 0.76%, Kalbe Farma advanced 1.38%, and Lippo Karawaci added 1.72%.

Among losers were Perusahaan Gas Negara (-6.72), Bank Mandiri (-0.61%), Bank Negara Indonesia (-0.6%), Bank Rakyat Indonesia (-0.64%), Adaro Energy (-1.65%), and Hanson International (-3.08%).

Nymex’s crude oil fell 0.58% to US$105.34 per barrel. The rupiah weakened to Rp10,024 against the US Dollar.
