JAKARTA (Yoserfardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended down 0.1% at 4,517 Tuesday (Sept 17), with late buying helping the index cutting its losses.
IDX moved volatile in morning trade and kept on red zone during afternoon trade until the buying emerged ahead of the market’s close. The index reached its lowest at 4,480 in today’s trading.
Regional markets meanwhile closed in mixed.
In Jakarta bourse, Astra International fell 2.17%, Alam Sutera lost 4.92%, Kalbe Farma shed 2.19%, Adhi Karya slided 2.56%, Waskita Karya dropped 3.23%, Wijaya Karya declined 3.09%, Bank Bukopin lost 4.41%, and Pakuwon Jati plummeted 9.84%.
Among gainers were Japfa Comfeed (+5.44%), Bumi Resources Minerals (+10.5%), Bumi Resources (+4.6%), Indika Energy (+9.21%), Lippo Karawaci (+6.19%), and Telkom (+1.12%).
Nymex’s crude oil fell 0.5% to US$106.06 per barrel. The rupiah weakened further tp Rp11,451 against the US Dollar.
