JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The General Election Commission (KPU) will hold a supplementary election in Yahukimo regency in Papua province.

KPU Commissioner Ferry Kurnia Rizkiyansyah esplained that the election will be held soon after all election logistical materials distributed to the regency. KPU hopes the election can be held on Friday (July 11) or Saturday (July 12).

As reported earlier, about 14 districts in Yahukimo regency have not yet held presidential election initially scheduled on July 9. The registered voters listed in 14 districts in Yahukimo regency reach 60,447 voters.

The KPU said the bad weather has disturbed the distribution of election logistical materials. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
