JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The General Election Commission (KPU) is expected to announce the elected President and Vice President for 2014-2019 period by determining the final results of its official counting of presidential election on Tuesday (July 22).
The KPU insisted to continue the recapitulation of votes after neglected Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa’s request to stop the recapitulation and delay the official announcement to August.
The KPU has so far have finished recapitulation of votes in 15 provinces. Today, the KPU will finish the recapitulation of votes in 18 remaining provinces.
Previously, the KPU has finished recapitulation of votes at regency/municipality level and overseas votes. The recapitulation showed to the victory of Joko “Jokowi” Widodo-Jusuf Kalla or similar with the results of quick counts from credible polling agencies.
Yosefardi.biz’s calculation based on the scanned documents filed from 33 provinces and recapitulation of overseas votes also pointed to Jokowi-Kalla’s victory with a margin of 6.3%. Jokowi-Kalla won with 53.15% against 46.85% of Prabowo-Hatta’s votes. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
