JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The General Election Commission (KPU), ready for any risks, has finally released the Final List of Voters (DPT) for next year’s elections neglecting existing problems and suggestions of postponement.

The KPU released the DPT on Monday (Nov. 4) after being postponed for twice. Some 186,612,255 voters are registered in the DPT. However, KPU itself admitted that some 10.4 million voters are registered without NIK (the new identity number). Latest, KPU claimed that the voters without NIK has decreased to around 7 million.

KPU Chairman Husni Kamil Malik revealed that no swelling of the number of voters as the KPU has validated and found registered voters without NIK are not fictitious voters.

In a related progress, PDI-P has revealed their own findings that some 17 million problematic registered voters are included in the list. This problematic voters come from some provinces in Java, Bali, and Sumatra, then the possibility of higher amount of problematic voters is there, as other provinces would add the number.

Earlier Home Affairs Ministry released on Oct 31 about 30 million eligible voters were not registered in the KPU’s voter list, potentially become the so-called missing voters. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
