JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned Vice President PT Pertamina EP Elizar P Hasibuan for questioning on Thursday (Feb. 12) related to further investigation into bribery case implicating Innospec Ltd, a subsidiary of a Nasdaq listed company based on US Innospec Inc.
KPK’s official Priharsa Nugraha said Elizar was questioned as a witness for Suroso Atmo Martoyo, former Pertamina’s Director for Processing and one of suspects in the case.
Previously, KPK has questioned some former high-ranking officials of Pertamina as witnesses in the case. They were, among others, Herry Sucipto, Dwi Kushartoyo, and Djohan Sumarjanto.
KPK has named Suroso Atmo Martoyo and Willy Sebastian Liem (Director of PT Soegih Interjaya) as suspects in the case back in 2011 and 2012. Both suspects, however, have not yet detained.
Innospec, checmical supplier for state oil and gas company PT Pertamina, was alleged for bribing Indonesian officers in the period of 2002-2006 in order to secure sales of tetraethyl lead (TEL), an additive used in the production of unleaded gasoline. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
