JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned Minister of Energy & Mineral Resources (ESDM) Sudirman Said for questioning session on Friday (Nov. 13) related to further investigation into bribery case implicating Hanura Party lawmaker Dewie Yasin Limpo.

According to the acting head of KPK’s public relation bureau Yuyuk Andriati, KPK will question Sudirman as a witness in the case.

As reported earlier, KPK arrested Dewie and her expert staff Bambang at the Soekarno-Hatta international airport two weeks ago. KPK then named Dewie and Bambang as suspects in the case related to development project of power plant in Deiyai, Papua.

Prior to arresting Dewie and Bambang, KPK arrested six other people in a caught-in-the-act operation (OTT) after a bribery transaction at a restaurant in Kelapa Gading, Jakarta, on October 20, 2015.

They were director of PT Abdi Bumi Cendrawasih Setiady Jusuf, Setiadi’s adjutant Devianto, the Deiyai administration’s head of mining & energy office Irenius Adii, Dewie’s personal assistant Rinelda Bandoso, another businessman namely Harry, and a rental car driver. The first four names have been also named as suspects.

KPK seized SGD177,700 from the transaction and later released Harry and the rental car driver. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
