JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has seized more assets linked to Fuad Amin Imron, graft suspect and Speaker of the Bangkalan Legislative Council (DPRD).
KPK’s Spokesperson Priharsa Nugraha revealed that the assets seized by KPK comprise of a land and a building belonging to Fuad Amin in Cipinang, East Jakarta, plus nine land areas belonging to Fuad Amin’s wife Siti Masnuri in Jalan Dewi Sartika, East Jakarta.
As reported earlier, KPK has also seized Rp250 billion cash money, 14 houses and apartment and 19 cars belonging to Fuad Amin. KPK, moreover, has seized Fuad’s other assets in form of 70 lands and buildings, including a boutique belonging to his wife, a condominium in Bali, and the office of Gerindra Party’s Bangkalan branch.
Fuad Amin Imron was caught red-handed by KPK’s investigators along with three other suspects in the case in a bribery transaction on Dec. 1, 2014. KPK seized Rp700 million of bribe cash money from the transaction allegedly related to gas supply agreement bribery case implicating PT Media Karya Sentosa (MKS).
KPK then named the Gerindra politician as a graft and money laundering suspect. The gas supply agreement implicating Fuad was made during his term as Regent of Bangkalan in Madura, East Java. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
