JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has questioned comedian Sri Wahyuningsih aka Cici Tegal related to investigation into alleged graft in the medical equipment procurement project at the Health Ministry back in 2005 implicating former Health Minister Siti Fadilah Supari.
After questioning session on Friday (May. 22), Cici has once again confirmed that she had received a traveler’s cheque worth Rp500 million from Siti Fadilah, Detik.com reported.
Back in 2012, Cici also made similar testimonies when testified as a witness at the Jakarta Corruption Court. Cici had testified for Rustam Syarifuddin Pakaya, former Head of the Health Ministry’s Crisis Management Center and suspect in a separate medical equipment graft case.
KPK had named Siti Fadilah Supari as a graft suspect since April 4, 2014. Siti, however, denied that she had ever sent a traveler’s cheque worth Rp500 million to Cici.
Siti Fadilah served as Minister of Health from 2004 to 2009 under the first term of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s (SBY) administration. Siti then served as one of members of President SBY’s Advisory Council (Wantimpres) during the period of 2009-2014.
Apart from KPK’s investigation, Siti Fadilah had been also named as a graft suspect by the National Police in also the medical equipment graft case since April 2012. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
