JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has on Tuesday (August 26) questioned Police Brig. Gen. Didik Purnomo, Deputy Chief of National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas), as suspect in the case related to the procurement of police’s driving simulators.

KPK’s Spokesperson Johan Budi SP, however, said he has yet to know whether or not KPK will detain Didik after being questioned.

KPK, actually, had named Didik as suspect in the case since August 1, 2012, along with three other suspects. They are Korlantas Chief Police General Djoko Susilo, President Director PT Citra Mandiri Metalindo Abadi (PT CMMA) Budi Susanto and President Director PT Inovasi Teknologi Indonesia (PT ITI) Sukoco S Bambang.

Djoko Susilo had been sentenced to 18 years in jail. Budi Susanto and Sukoco S Bambang, meanwhile, have been sentenced to 8 and 3.8 years respectively. Sukoco, however, had been released from jail on parole early this year after serving his prison sentence. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
