JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned Syamsul Alam, former President Director of PT Pertamina EP, for questioning on Thursday (Jan. 22) related to further investigation into gas supply agreement bribery case implicating PT Media Karya Sentosa (MKS) and former Bangkalan Regent Fuad Amin Imron.
Previously, KPK has questioned three top leaders at Pertamina EP as witnesses in this case. They were former President Director of PT Pertamina EP Tri Siwindo, Director of PT Pertamina EP Haposan Napitupulu, and Commercial Manager of PT Pertamina EP Gunawan
Saniskoro.
KPK has also questioned former Energy Minister and SBY’s Democratic Party politician Jero Wacik.
Fuad Amin Imron was caught red-handed by KPK’s investigators along with three other suspects in the case in a bribery transaction on Dec. 1, 2014, whereas KPK seized Rp700 million of bribe cash money from the transaction. Soon after the arrest, Fuad has been dismissed from the membership of Prabowo Subianto’s Gerindra Party.
KPK also seized three cars, two houses in Surabaya (East Java), and Rp100 billion money from several banks belonging to Fuad.
The transaction itself is allegedly related to gas supply agreement during Fuad’s term as Regent of Bangkalan in Madura, East Java. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
