JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Johan Budi SP, the Deputy Chief of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), has assured that KPK will follow up the report filed by the Governor of Jakarta Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama regarding corruption allegation committed by members of the Jakarta legislative council (DPRD).

Johan Budi made the statements to answering the rumor that KPK will hand over the report to the Attorney General Office (AGO).

As reported earlier, the recent conflict between Ahok and DPRD Jakarta is related to the deliberation process of the Jakarta 2015 provincial budget (APBD).

DPRD Jakarta has launched a motion to use its inquiry right against Ahok that by law the motion could lead into impeachment. DPRD Jakarta accused Ahok of deliberately sabotaging their budgeting right.

Ahok, meanwhile, fights back by revealing about how did the DPRD was engineering, among others, a mysterious Rp12.1 trillion budget into the Jakarta 2015 APBD.

Yesterday, a mediation meeting between Ahok and DPRD Jakarta ended up with deadlock. The meeting was arranged by the Ministry of Home Affairs. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
