JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has on Tuesday (Nov. 10) detained four local lawmakers at the Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD) of North Sumatra just after questioning session as suspects in bribery case implicating the Governor of North Sumatra Gatot Pujo Nugroho.
They are Saleh Bangun of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s (SBY) Democratic Party, Chaidir Ritonga of Golkar Party, Ajib Shah of Golkar Party, and Sigit Pramono Asri of PKS. While another suspect in the case, Kamaludin Harahap of PAN, failed to answer KPK’s call.
As reported earlier, KPK has named five local lawmakers above as suspects in this case. They are alleged for receiving bribe from Gatot and his wife Evy Susanti related to the deliberation of the North Sumatra provincial budget (APBD) and blocking the DPRD to use their rights of interpellation against Gatot.
Gatot and his wife have been also named as suspects in this case. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
