JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is waiting audit report from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) to detain Anas Urbaningrum and Andi Mallarangeng, both were key figures at President SBY’s Democratic Party, who are named graft suspects in the high-profile Hambalang case.
KPK Chief Abraham Samad was optimistic both politicians would be detained immediately. “When time comes, they will be detained,” Samad saying to respond public criticism on KPK’s handling of Anas and Andi.
Other graft suspects, including former president of Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) Luthfi Hasan Ishaaq, have been detained, while both Anas and Andi are still out there enjoying free air despite being named suspects since December 2012 and February 2013 respectively.
BPK chief Hadi Purnomo said the agency would likely complete the investigative audit within one month.
