JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Paper producer PT Kertas Basuki Rachmat Indonesia Tbk (KBRI) targets its export sales to contribute 50-60% of total sales as local demand is on declining.
The export sales would boost the company’s earning along with the appreciation of US dollar. KBRI has exported its products to some Asian countries such as Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. KBRI had recently intalled its new production machine with capacity of 260,000 tons per year.
KBRI targets to sell 200,000 tons of paper product this year, priced at Rp4 million per ton, to raise Rp800 billion. In 2014, KBRI only booked sales of Rp11.87 billion.
Meanwhile PT Biltube Indonesia, also engaged in paper manufacture in Purwakarta, West Java, has proposed its voluntary bankrupt to the Commercial Court of Central Jakarta as it suffered loss for many years.
