JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo will visit Timor Leste on Tuesday (Jan. 26) to meet President Taur Matan Ruak and Prime Minister Maria De Araujo in an effort to boost cooperation between the two countries.
The Tuesday’s state visit will be the first state visit to Timor Leste for President Jokowi. First Lady Iriana will accompanying the President.
Some cabinet members will also include in the President’s entourage, among others, Coordinating Minister for Economy Darmin Nasution, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno LP Marsudi, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, and Minister of Youth & Sports Imam Nahrowi.
In Timor Leste, President Jokowi is scheduled to sign five Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) regarding the cooperation between Indonesia and Timor Leste in several sectors such as petroleum energy & natural resources, youth & sports, climatology & geophysics, archiving, and Search & Rescue Team (SAR).
