JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Coordinating Minister for Politics, Law, and Security affairs Gen. (ret) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan promised to the leaders from several labor confederations a luncheon meeting with President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo to be set next month.
Luhut delivered his promise during a meeting with the representatives of several labor confederations that staged a rally in front of the State Palace Jakarta, Tuesday (Sep. 1).
Luhut said that President Jokowi concerned with the people’s prosperity, including the workers. But he asked the workers to also realize the slow down of the country’s economy.
Luhut was accompanied by two other ministers when receiving the representatives of several labor confederations that staged the Tuesday’s rally. Those two other ministers are Minister of Manpower Hanif Dhakiri and Minister of Health Nila F. Moeloek.
Among 15 representatives of several labor confederations present in the meeting were Andi Gani Nuwa Wea, President of the Confederation of Indonesian Workers Associations (KSPSI), and Said Iqbal, President of the other Confederation of Indonesian Workers Associations (KSPI).
