JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo is expected to officially launch the new building of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in Kuningan, South Jakarta by the end of this month.
According to KPK’s acting deputy chief Johan Budi Sapto Prabowo, the official launching of the KPK building will take place on December 29, 2015. The new KPK building is located near of the current KPK building.
The construction development of the Rp195 billion KPK building has been started since December 9, 2013. The contractor of the building is state-owned construction firm PT Hutama Karya.
The current KPK’s commissioners will end their term today (Dec. 16). The replacement, the new five KPK’s commissioners, meanwhile, will be elected by the House of Representatives (DPR) Commission III tonight. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
