JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – President-elect Joko “Jokowi” Widodo decides to reduce the number of ministries under the upcoming administration from 34 to 33, but will add one position for Coordinating Minister, making a total 4 Coordinating Ministers.
The outgoing Jakarta Governor also revealed Friday (October 10) that he has decided to reduce cabinet posts for professionals affiliated to political party from 16 to 15, but maintain 18 cabinet posts for pure professionals.
The cabinet line ups, however, according to the former Surakarta Mayor, is not yet final, but will be concluded immediately.
As reported earlier, Jokowi is expected to announce the line ups of his cabinet after his inauguration as the seventh President of the Republic.
Jokowi and Jusuf Kalla are scheduled to be sworn in as President and Vice President on Oct. 20 in the plenary session of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR). (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
