JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Popular Jakarta Governor Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo and Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo, the two rising politicians from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P), are taking to attend the concert of the US rock band legend Metallica in the capital city of Indonesia on Sunday (Aug 25) night.
Jokowi said that he got a ticket priced at Rp600,000. He said that he would blend together and headbanging with thousand others Metallica fans.
“That’s what to do when attending the rock concert. Not just sit and silent, right,” said Jokowi.
Similar to Jokowi, Ganjar revealed that he has also bought some tickets, also for his wife and his child. Ganjar has yet known if he would meet Jokowi in the concert.
“I just want to enjoy and jump up during the concert,” Ganjar said.
Both Jokowi and Ganjar were widely acknowledged like a lot to listening and enjoying to rock music. They are big fans of some rock bands legend like Metallica and Guns n’ Roses.
Jokowi even had received a bass guitar from Metallica bass guitarist Robert Trujillo. But later, Jokowi handed over the guitar bass to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) because the Anti-Graft Commission considered the gift as a gratification.
Trujillo, meanwhile, was reportedly disappointed that his gift to Jokowi was considered as a gratification and being confiscated by the State.
The concert of Metallica, as scheduled, will be held at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Senayan, Central Jakarta. This is the second show after the rock band shaked up the city in 1993.
Metallica will likely to perform their best songs like ‘Master of Puppets’, ‘One’, ‘Enter Sandman’, ‘Nothing Else Matters’, ‘Creeping Death’, ‘And Justice For All’, ‘For Whom The Bell Tolls’, ‘Fuel’, ‘Battery’, ‘Fade to Black’, ‘The Unforgiven’, ‘The Day That Never Comes’, and “Welcome Home’.
