JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – State miner PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) Tbk (ANTM) has commissioned the jetty, belt conveyor, and refining facilities, part of the Pomalaa Ferronickel Plan Expansion (P3FP).
As of the end of August 2014, the overall Engeneering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) progress of the P3FP reached 68%. The completion is estimated by the end of 2015.
The new jetty has a capacity of 12,000 DWT with unloading rate 2×500 ton per hour, faster from previous rate which utilises backhoe leaders.
Inline with the completion of P3FP, Antam is expected to increase its annual ferronickel production at Pomalaa to 27,000-30,000 TNi from previous production of 18,000-20,000 TNi.
