JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Jero Wacik, graft suspect and former minister of Culture & Tourism, has once again failed to answer the call from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for questioning on Thursday (Apr. 9).
Jero Wacik’s lawyer Sugiyono argued his client is still waiting to the result of a pre-trial petition at the South Jakarta District Court.
This is the second time for Jero Wacik to skip questioning session at the KPK’s office.
KPK is actually to question Jero as a graft suspect in a case of extortion practices when he served as minister of Culture& Tourism in the period of 2004-2011.
KPK has named Jero, who is also one of key leaders of SBY’s Democratic Party, as a graft suspect in said case since Sep. 3, 2014. The state loss is estimated at around Rp7 billion from this case. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
