JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Jero Wacik, Minister of Energy & Mineral Resources and key leader of President SBY’s Democratic Party, has finally answered the summon from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Monday (Dec. 2) related to investigation into graft scandals at the powerful Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Body (SKK Migas).
When asked by media, Jero said he would give testimony for Rudi Rubiandini, the dismissed Chief of SKK Migas and one of suspects in the case.
Jero, however, reluctant to comment on the KPK’s confiscation of US$200,000 fund from Waryono’s office. He also declined to comment on the bribery allegations surrounding the giant Mahakam’s block contract extension discussion and the so-called holiday bonuses (THR) for members of the House Commission VII.
As reported earlier, KPK has repeatedly summoned and examined Waryono Karno (Secretary General of Energy & Mineral Resources Ministry) and I Gusti Putu Ade Pranjaya (adjutant of Minister Jero Wacik). KPK has also asked the
Immigration Office to impose overseas travel ban on Waryono and Karno and I Gusti Putu Ade Pranjaya.(haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
