JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – State workers’ insurance company PT Jamsostek is set to acquire Pertamina hospital (Rumah Sakit Pertamina) next year, Detikfinance.com reported.
Elvyn G Masassya, Jamsostek’s president director, said Jamsostek is now studying the mechanism of acquiring Pertamina hospital.
“In principle, we have agreed to acquire Pertamina hospital,” he was quoted, adding the acquisition was asked by state-owned enterprises minister Dahlan Iskan.
Dahlan earlier said Jamsostek is allowed to acquire 80-100% stake ownership in Pertamina hospital.
The acquisition is along with Jamsostek’s plan to build hospital for workers in the strategic areas.
Muhaimin Iskandar, minister of labor and transmigration, said the construction of hospital for workers are initiated by Jamsostek and state health insurance firm PT Askes. (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
