JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Visi Media Asia (VIVA), parent company of TVOne and ANTV, dropped further by 16% in the opening hour of trading on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Tuesday (August 20).
More than 114 million shares exchanged hands in the first hour of trading when the stock collapsed 16% to Rp176. The stock has lost almost 70% its value year-to-date.
Media Nusantara Citra (MNCN), controlled by Hanura politician Harry Tanoesoedibjo, also collapsed 10% with almost 10 million shares exchanged hands. MNCN is parent of RCTI and GlobalTV.
Surya Citra Media (SCMA), parent of SCTV and Indosiar, meanwhile, opened flat.
