JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The investigator team from the National Transportation Safety Commission (KNKT) has ruled out terrorism behind the crash of AirAsia QZ8501 Airbus A320-200 that killed 162 people on-board last month.
Andreas Hananto, Head of the KNKT’s investigator team, said after transcribing half of the QZ8501’s black box, the team have found no evidence so far that terrorism played a part in the crash.
As reported earlier, the National Search & Rescue Agency (Basarnas) has retrieved the QZ8501’s black box from the seabed of the Java Sea last week. The Basarnas team are now trying to retrieve the main body of the QZ8501.
AirAsia QZ8501 was crashed on Dec. 28, 2014, in the Karimata Strait, of south Kalimantan. 53 bodies have been evacuated so far. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
