JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Indosat Tbk (ISAT) is now seeking loan of Rp3 trillion from banks, including Bank Central Asia, Bisnis Indonesia reported this morning.
The loan will be used to repay loan scheduled to mature this year totaling Rp4 trillion. The company had repaid loan of Rp1.83 trillion. The rest Rp2.17 trillion loan will be paid by end of this year.
Indosat’s loan reached Rp21.99 trillion by end of 2012, declined 6.1% from Rp23.41 trillion by end of 2011.
Alexander Rusli, Indosat’s president director, said the company plans to issue medium term notes (MTN) for repaying loan of Rp2.7 trillion.
Indosat will also seek loan for funding the purchase of satellite which costs US$200-250 million.
At 10.05 am Jakarta time, Indosat shares fell 1.14% to Rp4,350 per share.
