JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Indoritel Makmur Internasional Tbk (DNET), through its subsidiary PT Indoritel Persada Nusantara (IPN), purchased 26,853 new shares of PT Mega Akses Persada (MAP), with brand of Fiber Star, then DNET now controls 71.89% shares of MAP, a company providing fiber optic network.

DNET will also purchase mandatory convertible bonds of MAP amounting Rp1 trillion. As at March 2015, DNET’s equity reached Rp7.62 trillion.

DNET CEO Harjono Wreksoremboko earlier said DNET plans to launch private placement, to raise around Rp1.5 trillion, used to develop the fiber optic business.

He said investment in fiber optic is targeted to reach Rp2.8 trillion by 2017. Some other major groups have also invested heavily in fiber optic, including Telkom, Sinarmas Group, Biznet Group, and MNC Group.
