JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – Indonesia’s export reached US$15 billion in March 2013, inched down 0.08% compared to export in February 2013. Compared to export in March 2012, the figure declined 13.03%.
Non-oil and gas export reached US$12.10 billion, declined 2.77% from February 2013, fell 12.07% compared to export in March 2012.
Year to date, Indonesian export reached US$45.39 billion, declined 6.44% form the same period of 2012. Non oil and gas export declined 3.27% to US$37.27 billion.
Export of edible oil and fat fell by US$421 million in March 2013. While export of mineral jumped by US$232.6 million.
Indonesian crude oil price in world market declined to US$107.42 per barrel from US$114.86 per barrel in March 2013.
China was the biggest destination as it absorbed US$1.8 billion, followed by Japan with US$1.34 billion and United States with US$1.32 billion.
Meanwhile total import declined 4.01% to US$14.7 billion in March 2013 from US$15.31 billion in February 2013. Compared to March 2012, the figure fell 9.97%. (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
