JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – American pop-rock band Maroon 5 confirmed that Bayu Santoso, an Indonesian student, has won a design contest of an alternate cover for the band’s new album “V”.
The announcement was published through Maroon 5’s official site. The official site also publishes Bayu’s design.
Bayu, meanwhile, explained that he has spent 7 months to finish the design. Bayu is awarded Maroon 5 new album, merchandise, t-shirt, two tickets of Maroon 5 concert, and money worth Rp10 million.
But on top of that, Bayu said he’s proud and very happy. Bayu, through his personal Twitter account @BayoGale, said he was drawing for fun.
Bayu is still listed as a student at the Yogyakarta’s Indonesian Institute of Arts (ISI). (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
