JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Indonesia officially gets its fourth gold from Wushu after on Thursday (Oct. 2) Malaysia’s appeal for its gold medal winner was rejected by Sports Arbitration.

So, Indonesia’s Juwita Niza Wasni, who finished second in the women’s nanquan and nandao wushu final, is promoted to the gold medal winner.

The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) announced on Tuesday (Sep. 30) that Malaysia’s Tai Cheau Xuen has been expelled from the Asian Games event and stripped of her gold medal because of tested positive for doping.

In the meantime, Fidelys Lolobua presented a silver medal to Indonesia after finishing second in men’s kata final of karate. Fidelys only lost 2-3 to Malaysia’s Lim Chee Wei in the final.

Indonesia also added one bronze medal to its collection from women’s Sepak Takraw team.

Indonesia is now in a distant 16th in the medal standing with four gold, five silver, and eleven bronze medals.
