JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) regained grounds and closed higher by 1.21% to 5146 in the morning session Tuesday (May 28).
The index tracked peers in the region as Nikkei 225 also regained 1.48%, while All Ordinaries inched up 0.23%. KOSPI composite also advanced 0.32%, while Hang Seng gained 0.23%.
In Jakarta, the second largest company on IDX by market capitalization, Astra International, gained 5.71% with 66 million shares exchanged hands. Third largest BCA also advanced 0.93%, while Telkom and Unilever gained 0.41% and 3.17% respectively.
Indofood Sukses Makmur, Kalbe Farma, and Bumi Resources also gained more than 1% each, while Matahari Department Stores declined further by 2.27%.
