JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) dropped further by 1.29% to 4202 Monday (Jan 6th), dragged down by regional sentiment.
Nikkei 225 fell sharply by 2.35%, while Shanghai composite lost 1.8%. Hang Seng also lost 0.58%, while All Ordinaries declined by 0.45%. On Friday, IDX composite lost 1.6%, while on Thursday it gained 1.24%.
Almost all blue chip stocks, except Astra International (ASII), Unilever, and Indocement, lost ground. Astra Agro Lestari, subsidiary of Astra, fell 6.08%, while Adaro Energy collapsed 7.92%.
BNI and BRI also dropped 4.4% and 3.1% respectively, while Telkom down 1.88%. Miners were mostly under pressure as Bukit Asam collapsed 7%, while Timah lost 6.9%. Vale Indonesia also lost 8.42%, while Bumi Resources dropped 4.9%.
