JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) gained 0.64% to 4,956.97 this morning opening following gains in most markets in Asian region.
Asian stocks rose on Monday as investors gave the thumbs up to an upbeat U.S. labor force report that sent Wall Street to an all-time closing high last week, Reuters reported.
Nymex’s crude oil rose 1.71% to US$95.61 per barrel in Asian trading this morning.
In Jakarta bourse, Astra International rose 0.72%, Bank Central Asia increased 0.93%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia lifted 1.69%, Bank Mandiri gained 0.51%, and Telkom hiked 1.335%.
Other gainers were Trada Maritim (+0.7%), Lippo Karawaci (+0.74%), Bumi Serpong (+0.57%), Kalbe Farma (+1.5%), and Global Mediacom (+2.33%). (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
