JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened up 0.4% at 4,253.25 on Tuesday (Oct 2) following regional market sentimen.
Asian shares inched up on Tuesday after an unexpected expansion in U.S. factory activity buoyed sentiment. Markets in China, Hong Kong and India are closed for holidays on Tuesday.
Japan’s Nikkei increased 0.16%, Korea’s KOSPI gained 0.34%, and Australia’s All Ordinaries rose 0.55%.
In Jakarta bourse, Bank Bukopin gained 1.56%, Bumi Resources lifted 4.11%, Semen Gresik added 1.07%, Indonesia Air Transport jumped 8.2%, Kalbe Farma increased 1.1%, Astra International advanced 1.37% and Gudang Garam gained 1.53%. (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
