JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher 0.22% at 4238 on Wednesday (August 26), regained from earlier losses. Tne index moved in red zone during the morning trade and reached at lowest at 4161.
Asian markets closed mixed. Japan’s Nikkei jumped 3.2% while China’s SSE fell 1.27%.
Semen Indonesia soared 12.66%, Indocement surged 5.36%, Astra Agro gained 1.52%, Bank Central Asia rose 1.94%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia hiked 2.63%, Bank Negara Indonesia jumped 3.56%, Vale Indonesia climbed 2.8%, and Indo Tambangraya gained 3.45%.
Other gainers were Jasa Marga (+2.46%), London Sumatera (+1.06%), Bukit Asam (+1.37%), Japfa Comfeed (+2.56%), Bukit Asam (+1.37%), Surya Citra Media (+1.02%), Adhi Karya (+3.17%), Waskita Karya (+1.91%), Global Mediacom (+1.83%), Nirvana Development (+4.9%), and Pakuwon Jati (+2.59%).
Among the losers were Alam Sutera (-2.69%), Bumi Serpong Damai (-2.08%), Eagle High Plantation (-9.09%), Charoen Pokphand (-2.1%), Jababeka (-2.63%), Kalbe Farma (-1.6%), Lippo Karawaci (-1.5%), United Tractors (-4.49%), and Unilever Indonesia (-2.29%).
Nymex’s crude oil rose 0.38% to US$39.46 per barrel while gold inched down 0.06% to US$1,137.60 per ounce. The rupiah weakened further to Rp14,102 against the US dollar.
