JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange regained ground this morning after its subtantial loss in past few trading days due to foreign investors’ sell-offs.
At 9.54 am Jakarta time, IDX gained 0.34% to 4,626.95, the only positive market in Asian region. Japan’s Nikkei, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng and Shanghai lost more than 1% this morning.
IDX opened lower by as much as 2% this morning, but then rebounding and turned to positive territory.
Waskita Karya gained 3.8%, Wijaya Karya increased 3.53%, Pakuwon Jati climbed 4.62%, Multipolar gained 3.57%, Astra International rose 2.26%, Alam Sutera increased 1.25%, Bumi Serpong Damai lifted 3.47%, and Telkom gained 1%.
Nymex’s crude oil fell 0.65% to US$94.76 per barrel in Asian trading this morning.
