JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) regained 1.7% to 4,494 this morning in line with regional markets.

Worries surrounding the end of quantitative easing (QE) in US eased off and China authorites calmed down market participants on tight monetary measures.

In Jakarta bourse, Astra International gained 3.25%, Bumi Resources rose 3.9%, Kalbe Farma jumped 5.9%, and Perusahaan Gas Negara lifted 3.5%. Banking and property stocks also gained; Bank Rakyat Indonesia (+2.8%), Bank Mandiri (+2.4%), and Alam Sutera (+1.3%).

Other gainers were Global Mediacom (+4.79%), Saranacentral Bajatama (+2.6%), Pakuwon Jati (+1.6%), Bhakti Investama (+1.2%).

Nymex’s crude oil declined 0.3% to US$95.01 per barrel in Asian trading this morning.
