JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher 0.89% at 4,720 on Thursday (July 18) while regional markets closed mixed. Shanghai lost 1% while Japan’s Nikkei gained 1.32%.
In Jakarta bourse, banking stocks led market’s gain. Bank Rakyat Indonesia rose 2.53%, Bank Negara Indonesia increased 2.37%, and Bank Mandiri jumped 3.53%.
Plantation stocks also supported. BW Plantations surged 5.8%, London Sumatera hiked 3.23%, Astra Agro lifted 2.34%, Sampoerna Agro gained 0.63% and Bakrie Sumatra Plantations climbed 1.96%.
Other gainers were Cipaganti Citra Graha (+10.87%), Waskita Karya (+5.06%), Wijaya Karya (+3.45%), Pakuwon Jati (4.48%), Adaro Energy (+1.43%), Bumi Resources (+1.92%), Bumi Serpong Damai (+2.56%), Lippo Karawaci (+2.27%), Kalbe Farma (+2.04%), and Telkom (+0.88%).
Nymex’s crude oil declined 0.15% to US$106.32 per barrel. The rupiah weakened to Rp10,059 against the US Dollar.
