JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened up 0.7% to 4,712 this morning in line with regional markets. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng gained 1.8%.
Banking stocks regained. Bank Raykat Indonesia gained 1.27% and Bank Mandiri rose 1.18%. Adaro Energy also rose 1.43% while Astra International increased 1.53%.
Aneka Tambang jumped 10.17% to Rp1,300 following report it has sealed a partnership agreement with ASX-listed Direct Nickel Ltd to develop laterite nickel deposit and establish a smelter using DNi process in Indonesia.
Other gainers were Bumi Serpong Damai (+0.6%), Lippo Karawaci (+0.75%), Perusahaan Gas Negara (+1.75%), Telkom (+1.28%), Waskita Karya (+2.4%), Wijaya Karya (+2.3%), Global Mediacom (+1.1%), and Multipolar (+1.7%).
