JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened up 0.43% at 5413 this morning while Asia stocks mixed. Japan’s Nikkei strikes new 15-year high. Most regional markets were closed for lunar new year holidays.
Asian equities were mixed on Friday as traders wait and see if Greece will apply for an extension of its bailout program before the Friday deadline, Reuters reported.
Nymex’s crude oil rose 0.56% to US$51.12 per barrel in Asian trading this morning and gold inched up 0.08% to US$1,208.20 per ounce.
At Jakarta bourse, Bank Central Asia gained 1.24%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia rose 1.6%, Bank Mandiri increased 1.68%, Jababeka hiked 1.83%, and Telkom climbed 1.04%.
Other gainers were Matahari Department Store (+3.09%), Pakuwon Jati (+1.92%), and Garuda (+1.89%).
