JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened up 0.26% to 5159 this morning following gains in regional markets.

Asian equity markets rose on Wednesday after the S&P 500 index closed above the 2,000 mark for the first time ever, cnbc.com reported. Wall Street’s record gains overnight were sparked by better-than-expected reports that cast a favorable light on the economy.

Nymex’s crude oil inched down 0.03% to US$93.85 per barrel in Asian trading and gold declined 0.1% to US$1,283.90 per ounce.

Adaro Energy gained 1.18%, Bumi Resources rose 1%, Telkom climbed 1.29%, and Waskita Karya up 1%.
