JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened up 0.25% at 4854 this morning while Asian shares were subdued on Tuesday.
Nymex’s crude oil declined 0.48% to US$105.66 per barrel in Asian trading and gold inched down 0.04% to US$1,317.90 per ounce.
Bumi Resources gained 0.76% after losing more than 26% in earlier 3 trading days due concern over the debt payment. Bank Rakyat Indonesia also rose 0.76%, Bank Tabungan Negara increased 0.98%, and Waskita Karya gained 0.76%.
Indosat advanced 2.63% but on thin volume on hope the government of Indonesia would buy back Indosat.
Presidential candidate Joko “Jokowi” Widodo said, if he won the president election, his upcoming government would consider the possibility to buy back Indosat after Indonesia’s economic growth has reached beyond 7 percent.
