JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened up 0.23% at 5218 this morning while regional markets were mixed.

Stocks in Asia zigzagged Wednesday as traders remained concerned over a recent selloff in the global fixed income market, Bloomberg reported.

Nymex’s crude oil rose 0.66% to US$61.15 per barrel in Asian trading this morning and while gold declined 0.1% to US$1,191.10 per ounce.

Investors continued buying plantation stocks. Astra Agro jumped 4%, Eagle High Plantations rose 1.63%, and Gozco Plantation increased 1%.

Other gainers were Aneka Tambang (+1.85%), AKR Corporindo (+2.45%), Timah (+1.82%), and Hanson International (+2.82%).
